Empowering BC Educators with The Mandt System®
Mandt for Schools

Mandt for Schools helps educators create safer, calmer, and more connected learning environments. The Mandt System teaches staff how to support students, not just their behaviours, so classrooms feel predictable and safe for everyone.
At West Coast Centre for Learning, we work with BC schools to deliver Mandt for Schools training to educational assistants, teachers, administrators, and support staff. The training is trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and aligned with inclusive education values.
What is Mandt for Schools?

The Mandt System approach starts with the idea of supporting people, not just their behaviours.™ When you do this, you’re well on your way to creating a culture that provides for the emotional, psychological, and physical safety of everyone involved. It is based on treating everyone with dignity and respect. Our Mandt program gives you the tools to affirm your feelings and choose your behaviours™ so that you can keep yourself and others safe during challenging interactions.
Training for Educators

Mandt for Schools focuses on helping staff manage themselves first, then respond to student behaviour. By learning to notice early signs of escalation, educators can intervene sooner and use strategies that protect relationships as well as safety.
