Skill-building small group programs and one-on-one coaching to support ADHD, autism, and learning differences. No diagnosis required.
Spring Programs for Neurodivergent Kids at West Coast Centre for Learning provide evidence-based support for ADHD, Autism, and Executive Functioning challenges. Our Surrey-based clinical team uses specialized frameworks like the Secret Agent Society (SAS) and PEERS® to build real-world social communication and emotional regulation skills.
Our programs support neurodivergent learners, including those with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other learning differences, as well as individuals without formal diagnoses. Programs are offered online and in-person, and many are eligible for Autism Funding. Families are welcome to reach out with questions or for guidance in choosing the right program.

Confidence & Emotional Skills for Kids (Ages 8–12)
Secret Agent Society®
Ages 8-12 | Online & In-Person
A research-based social skills program that helps children build skills for making and keeping friends, managing emotions, and navigating everyday social situations with confidence. Using a playful, game-based, spy-themed format, SAS teaches practical strategies through engaging activities while supporting children who experience social communication challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, or anxiety in peer settings.

PEERS® for Teens
Ages 12-18 | Online & In-Person
A globally recognized, evidence-based social skills program that supports teens in building friendships, navigating peer relationships, and strengthening communication strategies through structured instruction and real-life practice, supported by their parent or caregiver.
PEERS® is often used to support autistic teens, as well as those with ADHD or social anxiety – no diagnosis required.

PEERS® for Preschoolers
For Parents of Children Ages 4–6 | Online (Future Sessions)
An evidence-based social skills program designed to support young children in developing foundational social communication skills, emotional understanding, and positive peer interactions through play-based learning and parent involvement.

THRIVE ADHD & Me
Ages 9–12 | In-Person
A movement-based ADHD program that helps children better understand how their brain works while building emotional regulation, focus, and confidence. Through a blend of physical activity, guided discussion, and skill practice, participants learn practical strategies in an engaging and supportive group environment.
Equine Facilitated Wellness
Ages 8–12 | In-Person
An experiential equine wellness program that supports emotional awareness, self-regulation, anxiety, depression, and confidence through guided interactions with horses in a calm, outdoor setting. Unlike traditional horse therapy, WCCL’s approach emphasizes structured, reflective learning led by experienced professionals, helping participants build insight and resilience through hands-on experiences.

PEERS® for Young Adults
Ages 18+ | In-Person / Online (Future Sessions)
Social skills training program with research-based instruction and real-world practice tailored to the needs of young adults. Builds skills for navigating friendships, social dynamics, and romantic relationships with confidence, with practice supported by a social coach such as a parent or caregiver.
PEERS® is commonly used to support young adults with social communication challenges, including those related to autism, ADHD, or social anxiety. A formal diagnosis is not required.

Individual Coaching & Career-Focused Supports
Executive Function Coaching
Ages 10+ | In-Person & Online
Spring can be a demanding time for students as academic expectations increase, routines shift, and deadlines accumulate. Executive Function (EF) Coaching is a targeted intervention for students (Ages 10+) navigating neurodivergent kid's learning needs. Our coaches focus on measurable outcomes in time management, task initiation, and organizational systems, helping students in Surrey and Metro Vancouver manage increased academic pressure.
This type of coaching is particularly helpful for:
- high school students managing increased workload, exams, and/or post-secondary planning
- post-secondary students navigating the demands of independent learning, self-management, and sustained academic effort
Coaching is personalized and goal-driven, supporting learners in developing practical strategies that strengthen confidence, persistence, and everyday functioning during periods of increased pressure.
Career Coaching - Birkman “Wired for Work”
Ages 14-21 | In-Person & Online
Spring is a key time for teens and young adults to explore employment, post-secondary planning, and next steps in life. Career Coaching provides clarity and direction, helping participants carve out a roadmap that aligns with their strengths and aspirations.
Career Coaching may be a good fit for those preparing for summer jobs, navigating transitions from high school to post-secondary or employment, or exploring career changes.
Year-Round Learning & Brain-Based Support for Neurodivergent Kids (Ages 4+)
Brain-Based Learning for Attention, Memory & Processing
Ages 4+ | In-Person & Online
Brain-based learning programs strengthen underlying cognitive skills such as working memory, attention, processing speed, and auditory processing — addressing the root cause of challenges with learning, focus, attention, and executive functioning. These evidence-based programs are tailored to the learner’s individual profile and are often recommended alongside personal coaching or group programs when additional cognitive support may be helpful.
Programs include:
- Cogmed (working memory and executive function training)
- Fast ForWord (language and auditory processing)
- The Listening Program (auditory processing and regulation)
- Clear Fluency (reading fluency support)
Program recommendations are based on individual needs and consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions about Spring Programs for Neurodivergent Kids
Do these programs require an ADHD or Autism diagnosis?
No. All WCCL spring programs are open to all learners. While our curriculum is specifically designed for neurodivergent kids and teens, a formal diagnosis is not required for enrollment.
Is Autism Funding (AFU) available for Surrey spring programs?
Yes. Many of our programs, including Secret Agent Society (SAS) and PEERS®, are eligible for British Columbia Autism Funding Unit (AFU) reimbursement. Contact our Surrey office for specific billing details.
Are these programs offered online or in-person in Surrey?
We offer flexible learning options. Most programs are available in-person at our South Surrey (152nd St) or North Surrey (King George Hub) locations, with online sessions available for families across British Columbia.
What ages are these programs designed for?
Our spring programs support a range of ages, from preschoolers through teens and young adults. Age ranges are clearly listed with each program to help families identify the best fit.

Spring Professional Training Opportunity
We are currently offering a Spring Mandt for the Workplace training for individual professionals working in education, healthcare, mental health, and community settings. This training is designed for those who support others in their roles and want to strengthen relationship-based approaches, communication, and practical prevention and de-escalation strategies.
