PEERS Dating Bootcamp: Learn Dating Skills for the Modern Era

PEERS Social Skills training Program at west coast centre for learning

PEERS, The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills, is a social skills training program, for young adults age 18-30 who are interested in developing romantic relationships. This bootcamp is part of the PEERS for Young Adults program.

Research has shown that young adults with high functioning autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, social disorders, and socio-emotional problems have made positive progress from the PEERS program.

How is the PEERS Bootcamp Structured?

Young adults and social coaches (including parents or other caregivers) attend weekly group sessions. Young adults are taught social skills geared for dating through instructional lessons and role play demonstrations. They then practice the skills during group socialization activities. Coaches are taught how to support young adults in exploring romantic relationships.

Note: coaches are only required for the last 15 minutes of each session.
